HM Prison & Probation Service
HM Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) carries out sentences given by the courts, in custody and the community, and supports rehabilitation through education and employment. The Foundation is working with HMPPS on two projects. The first explores the use of simulators to teach learners how to operate plant and land-based machinery in HMP Hull and HMP Humber, as well as possibilities for replicating the project in other prisons. The second is the ‘Stay on Track to Train your mind’ programme which has seen 27 ex-offenders complete the programme and 100% offered employment on release.
