The Princess Royal Training Awards are one of the flagship Awards and Recognition programme of the City & Guilds Foundation. They are all about celebrating best practice.
We are delighted that we received 97 applications in 2021. Of those 97 applications, 49 have progressed to the second stage of assessment, the Application Review Process (virtual visits with an Assessor and a City & Guilds Ambassador).
We recently asked our Princess Royal Training Award alumni what they thought the real impact was in investing in learning and development, but also what the impact was in achieving the standard. Here’s what those who completed the survey said:
It’s fantastic to see that so many organisations are recognising that investing in learning and development can not only create clear progression paths for employees, but it can also increase engagement and lead to higher levels of staff retention.
What is even more pleasing to see is that 100% of organisations who completed the survey feel that achieving the Princess Royal Training Award standard has given them an opportunity to demonstrate the value of learning and development to their employees.
We’ll be continuing with virtual visits over the next few weeks, and look forward to announcing this year’s successful organisations in the summer.
In the meantime, it’s never too early for you to have a look at the website and think about applying next year!
